Weston Hall is a stunning grade 2 listed building in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside. Located on the A518 on Weston Bank just outside Stafford Weston Hall is easy to get to from the M6 motorway and surrounding towns of Stafford, Stoke and Uttoxeter etc.
Weston Hall wedding venue
As a wedding venue Weston Hall is one of my favourite locations. Internally the building has been decorated to the highest standards, in keeping with its heritage yet maintaining a modern twist.
Externally the venue boasts well maintained grounds with features such as a the fountain and pergola and an amazing outside terrace bar for the summer months. And of course lets not forget the Lama’s.. who from time to time might just photobomb your wedding pictures!
There are two main rooms inside Weston Hall – The Shrewsbury suite and the Westminster. Both of which full of character with their own bar areas. Usually the ceremonies are held in the Shrewsbury with the Westminster being used for the wedding breakfast and evening meal. As well as the main rooms there is also the Conservatory and Talbot rooms which offer some alternatives.
The staff are highly professional yet extremely friendly and always give their guests their full attention. Its also worth stating that the food is out of this word! The resident DJ, Blaze entertainment, is one of the best wedding DJs Ive heard, mixing old and new to get the balance just right.
Accommodation and rooms
Weston Hall offers luxury accommodation so when you’re planning you wedding you know you can have your nearest and dearest stay overnight.
The Honeymoon suite has a lovely four poster bed with plenty of room to spread out and unwind after our wedding. Most brides tend to get ready at here and all the rooms make a great backdrop for your bridal prep photos.
Wedding photography at Weston Hall
So whats the venue like from a photographers point of view? Its fantastic. There are loads of opportunities both inside and outside for your wedding photos. As well as the features already mentioned there are some great angles using the trees and bushes to provide a backdrop. As well as using the stunning hall itself.
I’ve shot many weddings at Weston Hall in all seasons from spring to summer to Autumn and winter, as well as a variety of weather conditions, from rain to shine. There are always good photographic opportunities both inside and out and the good thing about wedding photography at Weston Hall is that if the ground is wet you don’t have to go on the grass for your photos.
Weston Hall at Night
Perhaps some of my favourite shots from Weston hall weddings are those taken at Night. The Hall lights up, the pergola can be used and there are old style lamp posts. So even if you get some rain on your wedding day we can always nip outside and have some fun in the evening.
