The Great The Barn wedding photography – Emily and James
Last September I was privileged to photograph Emily and James’s wedding. The couple chose The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury as their wedding venue This was my fist time visiting the venue and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. The Great Tythe Barn really was a fantastic location to celebrate their wedding and I look forward to returning to the venue again soon. There really is something for everyone at The Great Tythe Barn, and located upon acres of stunning cotswold countryside there was no end of photographic opportiunities.
One of my favourite moments of the day is bridal preparations. There is always an air of building excitement which really gets me into the mood of the wedding and sets my enthusiasm up for the day ahead. Emily got ready at The Weighouse, one of the many on site accommodation options the venue has to offer. Emily had a cottage full of bridesmaids, flower girls, family and friends who were all playing their part in making the day the perfect occasion. Professional make up artist Amy Yeomans worked her magic making the girls look perfect.
I also caught up with James before the ceremony who, in true groom style, was still finishing off his speech.
Wedding ceremony at The Great Tythe Barn
The ceremony was held in The outdoor gazebo, the venues outdoor ceremony location. It was a warm sunny day which made this such a perfect location for an outdoor ceremony at The Great Tythe Barn. It was the perfect setting for Emily and James to say their wedding vows and tie the knot. I really liked how the bridal party had a long walk through the gardens before arriving at the aisle. The long walk through such tranquil settings must help to calm the nerves ahead of the wedding ceremony. The couple had a friends do some readings which was both entertaining and emotion at the same time.
Wedding reception at The Great Tythe Barn
After the ceremony guests were eager to congratulate the newlyweds, and cover them in confetti! This was a wedding where it was clear to see just how loved the couple are by their family and friends as they were queuing up to give them hugs and kisses after the ceremony. We took the opportunity to take some photographs around the grounds while guests relaxed on the lawn and explored the grounds.

An amazing Great Tythe Barn wedding
Throughout the day everything seemed to fall into place perfectly and once the speeches were finished there waste thing left to do, and that is to rock the dance floor. The couple had booked a band, Wildcard who were absolutely brilliant and got everyone moving.
