At the start of October I was back once again to Packington Moor, this time for the wedding of Beth and Jon. Packington Moor is a barn conversion wedding venue that has been hugely popular over the years. Sadly this was my last every wedding at Packington as it is set to close down due to the HS2 railway.
The day started out with getting ready shots at a nearby beauty salon. Beth was accompanied by her bridesmaids, one of whom had a new arrival baby to add to the excitement! After the girls hair and make up shots it was over the Packington for final preparations and to catch up with the guys.
Once ready Jon and the guys made their way to the Oat Barn ready for the ceremony. Beth soon made her way across and the couple soon became husband and wife. Autumn is one of my favourite times of year for wedding photography. The weather is often mild and the colours are superb. Fortunately we had a dry day so after the ceremony everyone was outside mingling, this gave me a great opportunity to capture lots of natural photos of the guest and children playing.
Beth and Jon booked Royale Casino to entertain the evening guests. I take no shame in saying I LOVE casinos at weddings so seized the opportunity to capture the evening guests trying their best to win the chips.
As well as the casino the couple had booked a band headed by frontman Ben Drummond, who also performed solo during the day.
This was yet another relaxed and fun wedding at Packington Moor. I’ll be sad to see the venue close down but Beth and Jon’s wedding was a fantastic way to finish. Please do contact me if you’re getting married and would like to discuss your wedding photography.
