I was delighted to have been asked to shoot Lauren and James’ wedding at Packington Moor. Halloween is one of my favourite times of year so it was great when I saw they had adopted this for their wedding theme. They didn’t go all out with costumes and masks but used pumpkins and autumnal leaves for table decorations. I think this theme really suited the rustic, countryside feel of Packington Moor.
Barn wedding venue in Staffordshire
Packington Moor is a beautiful barn wedding venue that is sadly scheduled to close due to the construction of HS2. Loren and James were planning a relaxed celebration, they didn’t want many groups or formal photos as there were far more fun things to be doing than posing all day. Obviously this was fine by me and I was left to capture the day in a documentary style. The fun, informal theme was a testament to the couples relaxed and fun nature.
The day started out with the girls getting ready in the preparation room at Packington. Loren and her bridesmaids were having a good laugh together, and a couple of glasses of Prosecco, as they prepared for the day ahead. I also nipped next door to see James and his guys getting ready. James had been given the task of taking care of the couples young son. I’m not sure which room was having the most fun but I suspect it was the girls!
After the wedding ceremony in The Oat Barn the guests were free to mingle and have a look around the venue. It was a lovely sunny day so were were able to make the most of Packingtons stunning grounds for the photos.
This was a brilliant wedding to shoot, very relaxed and informal with plenty of fun characters and Im sure Loren and James also had a brilliant day.
