Tori and Steve’s wedding at Blakelands country house

I was very pleased when Tori and Steve booked me for their wedding at Blakelends Country House. This was a new venue to shoot at which is always a refreshing change and fun to try something new. I was even more excited when I found out what an action packed day the couple had planned including a helicopter arrival!

St Chads Church Pattingham wedding ceremony

The day started out with bridal prep at Tori’s mums house in Pattingham. Tori had all her bridesmaids to hand helping her get ready and adding to the excitement. Her brother soon arriving ready to proudly walk down the isle to give her away.

Shortly before the ceremony nipped to the nearby local pub to catch up with Steve and his guys playing pool. Then we headed over the road to the charming St Chads Church where the couple were set to tie the knot.

As mentioned this was a fun filled day with a jam packed schedule. After the ceremony Tori had a visit from the other man in her life, her beloved horse. I think he was a little taken aback by the long white dress as opposed to jodhpurs! Then it was over to the airfield ready for the helicopter flight into Blakelands.

Blakelands country house is a great venue for wedding photography. There is a bit of everything from old rustic garage doors to beautiful countryside scenery.

After the meal a singing waiter surprised the guests with a fantastic performance that had everyone on the tables dancing. This was the first signing waiter I had experienced and I was pleasantly surprised at what a great show he gave.

Later in the evening we did a few night shots before the couple danced the night away to their band The Spectrum.

This was a great wedding at Blakelands. The couple had really gone to town making sure the guests were entertained whilst adding a number of personal touches to make the day their own.
