Becky and Paul’s wedding in Staffordshire

Becky and Paul had a fantastic wedding a couple of weeks ago. The wedding took place at St Nicholas in Fulford and then onto the couples home, Churnet Hall in Cheddleton for the reception.

Its probabaly worth pointing out at this point that Churnet Hall is no normal home, Paul is a hugely talented engineer and craftsman and the old Mill doubles as his workspace.

Becky prepared herself early in the morning for her wedding at Parents house. There was a lot of excitement as I photographed the bride and her bridal party during their hair and makeup session. Before long it was time for Becky to put on her dress and head for the church.

St Nicholas Church Fulford

Becky and Paul had a wonderful ceremony at St Nicholas Church Fulford. Becky arrived in style on a bus with her bridal party. There was a church full of family and friends there to witness the marriage and wish the couple well.

Following the ceremony the couple mingled outside the church for a while before travelling to the venue in one of Paul’s stunning classic cars.

Becky and Paul spent the wedding reception mingling with their guests. The caterers were on hand to keep everyones drinks topped up and the guests were having a great time.

It was soon time for the wedding breakfast and then onto the speeches. One of my favourite parts of the day. Every speech is unique and I never get bored of photographing them.

Evening reception

There was a short break in the evening for the guests to relax, listen to a live singer and enjoy some food in preparation for the evening.

The band kicked off and the dance-floor was absolutely rocking. I love capturing dancing shots and this dance-floor was so jam packed i barely had room to move..all good fun!

This was a very unique and personalised wedding that threw lots of traditions right out of the window. There were lots of challenges to keep me on my toes but I really enjoyed capturing the wedding.
