Dancing at Sunset

Here is a shot I love from Faye and adams wedding a couple of weeks ago at The Moat House near Stafford. Initially this looks like a totally staged shot, but in fact its completely unstated and unposed. So Let me give you a bit of background on this shot and tell you how it came about.

Moat House weddings

To the left of the Moat House there is a nice field which overlooks the church where Adam and Faye had got married earlier that day. We thought it would be cool do do some shots in the field with the church in the background so spend a few minutes on those before heading back to the Moat House to prepare for Adam and Faye’s first dance.

They had mentioned the dance was  choreographed routine and wanted to run through it one last time before preforming in front of their family and friends, being in a secluded field they decided to seize the moment and go for it.

Obviously to me this was like a gift from the photography gods..a great looking couple, practicing their first dance in a field at sunset. I knew exactly how I wanted to capture this so lay down in the grass and captured it step by step waiting for spins and turns to give some movement to the shot. I think it worked out well!

If you’re interested in natural and unposed photography please do fill in the contact form and lets have a chat about the day…dancing in fields is optional!
