Chloe and Mark’s spring wedding at┬áRowton Castle

Earlier in February I made another trip to the magnificent Rowton Castle, this time for the wedding of Chloe and Mark.

Rowton Castle is a beautiful 17th century castle hotel set deep within the Shropshire countryside. I’ve worked at Rowton many times over the years so feel familiar with the extensive grounds and know the best spots to capture your wedding photos at any time of year.

We were blessed with a relatively warm day for the time of year and having the snow drops peeking through it really started to feel like spring. Although as I write this we are currently under a few inches of snow, so perhaps my celebrations of spring are a little premature čÖé

Bridal prep at Rowton Castle

A relatively new addition to Rowton castle is the dedicated preparation rooms, Orchard suite. When I arrived Chloe, her bridesmaid and mum were all getting ready and enjoying the odd glass of fizz. It wasn’t long until Mark arrived with his best man and I took a few frames of the guys getting ready in the main bridal suite.

With both bride and groom ready and looking amazing it was soon time for the wedding ceremony. The grand doors opened and Chloe made her way down the isle to music by The Wignoria string quartet.

Informal wedding at Rowton Castle

Although Rowton is a very grand wedding venue Chloe and Marks wedding was a child out affair. They had a brilliant caricature artist known as “Mickey Toones” who kept the guests entertained during the drinks reception. Later in the evening we had some fun with sparklers.

Chloe and Mark are keen outdoor adventurers and it was great hearing their stories or caving, camping and other fantastic adventures.

If our planning a wedding and would like a relaxed style of photography please do contact me to have a chat about your day.
