Tabitha and James wedding at Pendrell Hall
Last September Tabitha and James had a fantastic wedding at Pendrell Hall. I first met Tabitha a few years before when I shot her sister Tara get married to Mitch, also at Pendrell. I have to be honest it’s always a huge compliment to be asked back to shoot another family members wedding. Most of my work comes from word or mouth these days and Im very proud of that fact.
Pendrell Hall Photographer
As my regular followers know I’m Pendrell Halls “Dream Team” photographer, so I get to visit the venue on quite a regular basis and this is absolutely fine with me. The venue itself really is stunning and its always great to see the friendly face of the staff each time I go. I’ve missed those guys over lockdown!
Bridal Prep
Tabitha prepared herself early in the morning for her wedding at The Cottage, one of the two houses set within the grounds of Pendrell Hall that can be booked the night before the wedding. Bridal Prep gives me an opportunity to get to know the bridal party a bit more and gives lots of opportunity for storytelling as Tabitha was having her hair and makeup finished.
Wedding at St Nicholas
James waited nervously inside the church for Tabitha to arrive. The ceremony was held at St Nicholas church, this is only a few minutes away from Pendrell and a popular choice. I’ve worked here a few times, on this occasion the vicar requested I worked from the back. Different vicars have different rules and I’m experienced in making the best of whichever position I’m asked to shoot from. It was the perfect setting for Tabitha and James to say their wedding vows and tie the knot.
After the ceremony guests were buzzing with excitement for the happy couple. I alway give the couple and guests some space right after the ceremony for them have some hugs while I capture the natural interactions and excitement for the newlyweds.
Wedding photography at Pendrell Hall
Once back at Pendrell I took some portraits of Tabitha and James who where definitely enjoying this moment among their nearest and dearest. It was great to catch up with Tabitha’s family again, and to meet James’ family for the first time and see these two families come together.
Into the evening the couple enjoyed their first dance to the DJ before a very special surprise was revealed. Tabitha’s dad had booked her favourite singer song writer, Emma Stevens, to come and perform. This was a huge surprise and I know it was the icing on the cake for Tabitha as she is a huge fan.
All in all this was yet another fantastic wedding at Pendrell Hall and another fantastic wedding for a familiar family.
