Amy and Tom’s December wedding at Pendrell Hall

After a couple of weeks break I was really looking forward to Amy and Tom’s wedding between Christmas and New Years Eve. I always find the Christmas weddings to be great fun as everyone is in high spirits and what better place to be than¬†Pendrell Hall.

St Mary’s Church Brewood

First of all it was over to Amy’s parents house for the pre-wedding preparations. Amy was surrounded by family and friends helping her get ready and of course help pop the odd Bucks Fizz, well it was Christmas and a wedding day so theres no such thing as too early!

Once Amy was ready it was only a short drive to the nearby Church St Mary’s ready of the ceremony. When I arrived Tom was already nervously waiting inside and there was a church full of friends ready to witness the couple become husband and wife. Amy soon arrived in the wedding car and after a short chat with the priest it was time to get married.

Documentary wedding photography at Pendrell Hall

After the wedding ceremony Amy and Tom greeted their guests at the church door which gave me a great opportunity to capture all those lovely hugs and smiling faces, then it was over to Pendrell Hall for the drinks reception. Amy and Tom’s wedding worked for my style perfectly, they wanted minimal posed photos, just the important groups and a handful of portraits. This gave me plenty of time to focus on the story of the wedding and capture the guests enjoying themselves.
