Elizabeth and Jeremy’s Christmas wedding at Pendrell Hall
I was really looking forward to Elizabeth and Jeremy’s wedding at Pendrell Hall in early December. I’ve shot at Pendrell many times this year but this was my first of the Christmas wedding there. The venue looks beautiful all year round but I was particularly excited to see the venue with the tree and Christmas decorations.
Pendrell Hall Christmas wedding
My day started off with in the morning with the girls getting ready. Elizabeth had a room full of bridesmaids there to assist her getting ready and everyone was in high spirits. I always stress that the morning photography isn’t just about the bride having her make up applied and this wedding was a great example. There were hugs, singing, dancing and of course the odd Prosecco!
It was raining throughout most of the morning but fortunately we had a short break after the ceremony which enabled us to get out for some photos. It was too wet to go on the grass but one of the great things about Pendrell Hall is there are countless photo opportunities regardless of the weather.
Retro video games
Yes you read that right, and just when i thought weddings couldn’t get any cooler! Elizabeth had arranged for an old school Playstation one and Sega Megadrive as a surprise for Jeremy. This was brilliant to keep the gusts entertained during the quiet spell between the end of the meal and beginning of the first dance.
Father and Daughter dance
Elizabeth and her dad had a father daughter dance following the first dance. Although in a slight break from tradition they did something a little more lively than the usual slow swaying. Hats off to them for being brave and planning something special before the wedding back kicked off.
