Telling your story
Different photographers and different styles of photography require a different approach on the wedding day itself. With my style being documentary based I approach the day with a very relaxed approach, the last thing I want is your guests to think “uh-oh, heres the guy with the camera again”. Often clients will complement me by saying they hardly noticed I was there and this is great. It’s not a case of hiding in the bushes with a telephoto lens, it’s about being relaxed and part of the day.
Unobtrusive and relaxed
Your wedding is special, its unique, its a day you want to enjoy, savour and look back on and remember it how it was. You don’t want your photographer getting in the way, taking longer than necessary or dictating how the day should run.
On your wedding day I’ll work as unobtrusively as possible recording all those priceless moments which make up your wedding day and tell your unique story.
Capturing real moments and real emotions
I understand that your wedding day is precious to you; it’s a celebration, a landmark day in your life. Whilst a handful of family group photos are important, I think its equally important to remember to just spend time enjoying the company of your loved ones. Rather than spending the day posing for photos why not chill out with your guests and let me capture the day naturally, as it really happened.
I genuinely love photographing genuine, spontaneous, real, moments that reflect your individual character and style, just you being you. And using experience, my eye for composition and storytelling and a keen awareness of lighting, mood, atmosphere – you bring the love, the laughter, the emotion and the resulting collection of images will forever transport you back, to one of the most wonderful days of your life.
Almost all the photographs I’ll take on your wedding day will be natural and un-posed. I’ll work tirelessly to capture the mood of your day so that your photographs reflect your wedding as it really was. When you look back on the photos you’ll remember the emotion of the day.
Don’t worry, we’ll still do the essential groups and some creative portraits of the happy couple. An when we do them I’ll work hard at making them look good. Its not that I under value the posed shots, but I place great value on the real moments.
