Jenny and Phil’s Autumn wedding at the Moat House
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of capturing Jenny and Phil’s wonderfully relaxed wedding. They chose to get married at The Moat House in Acton Trussell, close to Stafford in Staffordshire. I’ve shot at The Moat House many times and it was great to be back again, it’s a fantastic venue I love working at.
The day began with Jenny’s bridal preparation. She had a room full of bridesmaids and family eager to assist her getting ready. I always enjoy capturing bridal prep, it makes a great start to the wedding story.
Wedding ceremonies at The Moat House
The couple had selected The Acton Suite for their wedding ceremony. This is one of two ceremony rooms at The Moat House and has a modern feel with great natural light and views over the canal.
After the ceremony guests were free to mingle and enjoy reception drinks. After spending some time chatting Jenny and Phil led the guests outside ready for some photographs and a surprise visitor. They had arranged for their Golden Retriever pup to make an appearance and join them for some photos. Thats Pawfect is a local company who offer dog sitting services including bringing them to your wedding.
Autumn weddings at The Moat House
After some photos with the pup we made use of the Moat House’s excellent grounds for some couple photos. The sun was low and there was some glorious evening light. Autumn is one of my favourite seasons for wedding photography. There can be some wonderful light couples with great autumn colours.
Sticking with the relaxed nature of the wedding Jenny and Phil decided not to have speeches, so spent extra time mingling with their guests.
Into the evening the DJ kicked off the tunes and the couple were ready for their first dance.
