Tracey and Robs wedding at The Mill Barns
Tracey and Rob had a fantastic wedding last October and it was an absolute pleasure to be their wedding photographer. The couple got married at The Mill Barns which is in Alveley, Shropshire. This wasn’t the first time I had photographed a wedding at The Mill Barns, as one of their recommended photographers I work there may times each year and its always great to be back. I love my job as a Shropshire wedding photographer, I couldn’t ask for better opportunities than photographing fantastic couples like Tracey and Rob and working at fantastic venues like The Mill Barns.
Bridal prep at The Mill Barns
Tracey got ready at The Mill Barns on the morning of the wedding. She had a room full of daughters and friends helping her prepare for the big day. There was plenty of laughter and excitement as the anticipation grew.
I caught up with Rob when he arrived at The Mill with his groomsmen. They’d gone for a nod towards Peaky Blinders styling with the suits and even had some matching flat caps for the evening to top it off.
Mill Barns wedding ceremony
One of Traceys daughters had the honour of walking her down the aisle. They took a slow walk which was lovely as I could tell they were both absorbing every moment fo the walk together. Sometimes brides are so eager to get to their husband to be at the bottom of the aisle I wonder if they enjoy the walk itself. Friends and family looked on as Tracey and Rob exchanged rings in a fantastic ceremony at The Mill Barns.
Following the ceremony it was time for the guests to grab a drink and catch up with the newly married couple. Laughter and love filled the air as more drinks were served. I always use this opportunity to capture lots of natural moments, hugs and interactions between the guests before we move on to the formal photographs. I’m a big fan of early Autumn weddings, often there is lovely soft light and some nice colours on the trees but isn’t yet too cold for being outside.
Host The Roast
Rob had a surprise in store before the meal. The couple had selected the venues “Host The Roast” meal option. This is where a nominated guest from each table has to carve the joint. Rob had ordered a customised apron for each carver which went down a storm.
The evening kicked off and the DJ rocked the dance floor and the guests had an absolute ball. Tracey and Rob really know how to create a fantastic wedding and I just know they will build a fantastic life together. If you’re planning a wedding and would like. amore natural approach to the the photographs please do get in touch.
